SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 28

reported February 24, 1995.]
Recommending that the joint committee on government and finance
shall authorize and pay for a study of the parking needs and
solutions thereto for the capitol complex in Charleston.
Whereas, There presently exists a need for additional parking
facilities at the capitol complex.
Whereas, The Legislature recognizes a need to conduct a study
of the needs and solutions of the present parking problem;
therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the joint committee on government and finance shall
authorize and pay for a study of the parking complex needs and
solutions of the capitol complex which shall include, but not be
limited to, the following items:
(1) The need for additional parking at the capitol complex;
(2) The construction of additional parking facilities;
(3) The methods for paying for additional parking facilities;
and
(4) The needs of the aged and handicapped for special parking
and access; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the governor, the secretary of
administration and all other officers and agencies of the state are
encouraged to cooperate in the study. The study shall be completed
on or before the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-five, and a written report thereof shall be delivered to the
joint committee on government and finance, the president of the
Senate, the speaker of the House of Delegates and the governor.
